Cozy Crazy

I haven't been knitting much lately. Instead, I have been busting into my wool felt stash and whipping up some hand-sewn ipod cozies.

Literally cut out using a nano as a pattern.

With swirly S patterns.

It's
fun and almost instant gratification (not exactly instant, but I don't
have to wait nearly as long as I would to finish a knitted lace shawl
or a sweater).

The question is...do I march/sew on and throw a few up on etsy and see what happens? Or, do I just get back to knitting...Hmmm...

Longest...week...ever...whew...

I'm happy to say the vet called this evening and the news is all good.
Mabel's little growths were benign and once she has her stitches out
next week everything should be a-okay. (The bright purple stitches are
hiding on the back of her neck--conveniently out of her reach. Thus no
need for a kitty cone :-)

Mabel is now paying forward her good kitty karma to her kitten pal Otis, who has a lump of his own.

Everyone think good thoughts for Mabel

Today Ms. Mabel is spending the whole day at the vet...

She wasn't quite herself so I took her to the vet last week and asked them to give her a checkup and run her blood (she is 12 years old). Her liver enzymes came back 3x normal. Yikes. Thus she is back having a little growth removed, biopsied, and having her bloodwork redone.

It's weird working from home and not having her circling around, begging for some petting, and wanting to sneak into my lap.

Now I'm just anxiously waiting for the vet's office to call...

Boise FO (finished object)

Mabel tries to mask her excitement. The entire time I was working on this shawl she wanted to be on it all of the time. Now that it's done, she couldn't care less.

Next up: something else from the big bag of UFOs (unfinished objects). TBD.
